Incidentally, according to a post dated October 10, 2011by Don Julin on the mandolincafe Website, E.M.D. actually stands for Eat My Dust, and is in reference to the incredibly fast tempo of this piece.

Just recalled the 1980’s song Guilty by Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. During quiet times on night patrol, I keyed the mike in my patrol car and played the tune for the dispatcher. My boss laughed when played at our wedding.

I am listening to Jimmy Martin doing "20/20 Vision and Walking Around Blind". Arguably the best singer in Bluegrass history. He had a magnificent tenor voice that was just perfect. Something of an obstreperous personality kept him from becoming an official member of the Grand Ole Opry which is certainly a shame.

About ten years ago I was turned on to Flying Nun records and the "Dunedin Sound" of the 80s and 90s in New Zealand.
I'm still loving it - over a dozen bands that I'm happy to listen to any day of the week.
Among them is The Clean.
