I am listening to one of the most influential band of the 40's: Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys!! So many hits with "San Antonio Rose", "Faded Love". "A Maidens Prayer". "Take Me Back to Tulsa", "Basin Street Blues", "Steel Guitar Rag", and "Trouble in Mind" just some of his hits. He also went through a lot of women in his time. Married six times and divorced 5 time. He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. Roughly 25 years after his death.

Taking a tour back to the 40's and 50's to recognize Red Foley as a superstar country music artist. He had numerous hits in that time period most notably "Sugarfoot Rag", "Chattanooga Shoeshine Boy", "Peace in the Valley", "M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-I" and many more. I remember watching him on his TV show in the late 50's and you couldn't wait for him to end the show with a gospel number.
