Jaques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, especially the song In the Port of Amsterdam, although the whole album is terrific. I think the lyrics were originally in French, then translated to English and done on Broadway as a sort of musical review with (I think it was) four singers, a big hit in the seventies. Your smart speaker can play this for you, in all likelihood, or that's how I heard it. A glass of red wine, a large packed pipe, and you can visualize yourself at an outdoor cafe in Monmarte, with the lyrics in English.

Sunny Cornwall, UK.
"We Are The League" by the Anti Nowhere League.

The ANL were more punk than the Sex Pistols could ever hope to be. Plus they had intelligent, though somewhat crude lyrics!

You really ought to hear their version of Ralph McTell's ballad "Streets Of London", truly a classic version of a classic song.

"Have you seen the old girl who walks the streets of London
She aint got no money and she's all dressed in rags
Well have you seen the old girl who walks the streets of London
She carries her old knickers in two polythene bags"

Jay.?
