I haven't listened to this in years, but considering the way the weather is around most of the country it reminded me of it. Note: This ain't no Hank Williams! 
Although twang is severely diminished in popularity there are three places in North America where it’s still quite popular. The Missouri Ozarks, the Canadian Maritimes, and around Austin Texas.
Overseas, Ireland and the Scandinavian countries keep twang alive.
Ireland’s own Jerry Kerr and the former wife and muse of Merle Haggard, Leona Williams of Missouri, keep the torch twanging.
Twang needs writers. These are all old standards.
Leona wrote some of the most completely twanger songs in the history of twang.
The Hot 200 Twang songs, never change.
