This morning I’m listening to prison songs.
I think when those old prison songs played by the hour on KWTO and the Grand Ole Opry and were on every jukebox, there was less crime and uncivil behavior in this old sin cussed world, full of woe.

Reminds me of my old man, he'd sit out in his little cabin at the end of the garden most evenings, he'd play all sorts of ramdom old stuff and Marty robbins was one of his favourites.
I'll still occasionally listen to "el paso" or "big iron". Love that style of story telling in music!
Now listening (did it all through this evening) to the divine Umm Kulthum (1904 – 1975)...
