There are many musicians' birthdays today. Here is one of the earliest celebrants recorded, Carlos Gardel, born in 1890. He helped popularized the tango and composed many tangos. He is called "The King of Tango".
He performs one of his signature compositions, from 1934, "Mi Buenos Aires Querido". Gardel was killed in an airplane crash in 1935.
