My oldest daughter walked through my studio while I was listening to Pandora, and she asked me what was playing. I had to look, because I had no idea, but it was Pink Martini. She asked me if I liked it, it was a French rhumba jazz number. It was just on the jazz station. I shrugged and said “yeh.”

So for my birthday, which is actually tomorrow, she bought me a few Pink Martini albums. Not my usual jam, but I like it. Works for the season. I’ll probably pull it out and groove occasionally.

This is by far my favorite from Sinatra. And possibly my favorite album. Ordered the vinyl for myself today for Christmas.

Speak Easy, I'm a huge Sinatra fan and this is my favorite album too, followed close behind by In The Wee Small Hours and Sinatra At The Sands (with Count Basie). And then, every one of his other albums.

In The Wee Small Hours and this album with Jobim probably round out my top three. With the latter landing in no particular order. However, Mood Indigo may be my second favorite Sinatra song.
