This relatively unknown group except hardcore bluegrass fans. The Marshall Family has provided us with some tremendous music over the year.

"I won’t go to a burnin' hell
If I believe in what the bible tells
I’ll conquer that old devil if I pray
He offers just brimstone and fire
A lowdown thief a cheater and a liar
But the Lord will give you love and treat you well"

I read somewhere that classical music is just heavy metal before electricity. Well I guess I somewhat agree with that, as a lot of classical is quite complex music, and can be loud. That's probably why I like some heavy metal music. Here's one group that makes that true more than others. Nightwish is a Finnish metal band, (that's right, Finnish!) and most of their stuff is quite heavily orchestrated, especially this album. The heavy metal band is accompanied by a full orchestra, and choir. Someone had to write this music and then orchestrate it, quite a job! Man, there's a lot going on here, but it's really interesting music and Floor Jansen the lead singer is pretty damn great!

I am listening to the great sounds of Bill Monroe & the Bluegrass Boys. No better sound on God's green earth.

"Now she's up in Heaven, she's with the angel band
I know I'm going to meet her in that promised land
But every time the snow falls, it brings back memories
For I found her when the snow was on the ground

I traced her little footprints in the snow
I found her little footprints in the snow, Lord
I bless that happy day that Nellie lost her way
For I found her when the snow was on the ground"
