Now playing Pretenders - Pretenders.
My step-dad would play this and Tower of Power every Sunday morning when I was in my early teens. Great album, this one.
One of my all-time favorite albums. Amazing focus music for studies or just reading. Great for a pipe, too.
Was listening to some '60's oldies on my ipod while treadmilling in the garage: e.g., Drifters ("Sweets for My Sweet"), Elvis ("Can't Help Falling in Love"), Johnny Burnette ("Dreamin'"), Little Anthony & the Imperials ("Take Me Back"), etc......
Listened to Curtis Gordon; “Rompin’ and Stompin’” and “Caffeine and Nicotine”. Then some Corrosion of Conformity “deliverance” album; next was Buddy Guy; “the blues is alive and well” album.
Sly & the Family Stone - Babies Makin' Babies (alt. version, bonus track), from Fresh (1973). Man.....the drum groove.......MAN!!
