I really wish that I knew more about jazz musicians, who they recorded with, and things like that. We used to have a record shop in B'ham where guys kept up with jazz musicians and could tell you statistics about how many times they recorded... almost like some keep up with baseball stats. But, I am merely a casual jazz listener, but I do have a few really good albums. This is one with Miles and Santana, although I usually much prefer Mile's Davis's wife's music.
If you don’t already have Miles’s “Kind of Blue” or Dave Brubeck’s “Time Out” it’s hard to go wrong with those. Both are easy to listen to but have great depth at the same time.
