Venison steaks skillet seared, barely medium rare, in Cajun butter with garlic, course ground salt and pepper. Broccoli pan fried with garlic and slivers of cayenne. A nice Pinot Noir.
Homemade goats milk yogurt with blackberries, hypothetically homemade muscadine wine.
A nice bowl of Haddo's. Small mason jar of Jack Daniels Honey on the rocks.
God I love Christmas.

Porterhouse steaks with Jalapeno butter and a bottle or two of Cabernet Sauvignon. Either Pumpkin pie or Old Crow/chocolate fudge topped ice cream for 1st dessert. 2nd dessert will be glass of Remy Martin cognac and a bowl of (probably) Nightcap.

As of this morning everyone is still raving about how good the Chateabriand came out. I trimmed the tenderloin yesterday morning and after removing the chain and silverskin I probably yielded a good 6 or so pounds of lean beef. Not a single bit was leftover after dinner.
First time making a Bernaise sauce and it came out really well. Thankfully Youtube videos are really awesome when you are learning to cook something new :)
