Having Compass Box The Story of the Spaniard, 43% after a chicken and sausage gumbo our friend Paul made.
It’s pairing wonderfully with flan that Juliet made.
I was craving cream of mushroom soup and an egg sandwich with smokehouse cheddar for some reason tonight. So, off the cuff, I combined both which turned out to be delicious. It paired well with my dirty martini. 
Nice tomato harvest. Romas?

I’m fixing another Hugo this time with different olives, different sparkling mineral water, and capers + their brine. I love eating the garlic, olives and peppers after they’ve soaked awhile 
Yes, about 90% Roma, and 10% New Girl, which are presently being made into a meat sauce for tonight’s dinner.

Juliet is Paul’s wife. Susan and I are just the lucky people to enjoy both of their cooking this weekend. Meatballs are being made for the sauce now.
Juliet’s Dad, Mike, made a wonderful Camembert cheese that is so yummy.
Having some Chateau de Laubade Brandy that Susan is using to make an apple topping for ice cream after dinner.
The big bottles were on sale for 2 bucks. Not bad for a decent Japanese beer 
As British as it can Get....I prefer Ready Rubbed version of this and fot he Condor, theres this fine Long Cut blend
