What are You Drinking? (May, 2020)

Rum and ginger ale is a horrible combination? Or is it Sailor Jerry’s that’s horrible? I am not a high faulte’n rum or any drink snob, but this stuff is awful. Maybe? Or is it just awful with ginger ale? Coke better or just on the rocks? I had heard good things about Sailor Jerry’s for an inexpensive spiced rum.

I really like rum and now learning to like bourbon. Maybe I’ve been drinking too much bourbon and have different expectations.

I like Sailor Jerry. I've never mixed it with Ginger Ale, so I couldn't say how that tastes. But IMO, it tastes good mixed with Coke, a Coke chaser, or just sipped with a beer chaser.

A day of firsts, Blue Moon Light Sky. “Diet beer”. It’s really really refreshing and good. I like regular blue moon, but this has the added benefit of being very light and crisp on a hot day. Also first ODF. See other thread.

The regular Yuengling lager is about my favorite “cheap beer.” Never had the Light. Pretty good?

Gave one to my oldest son the other day, he said “ hmmm......interesting, water with a hint of Yuengling”. But hey, I like em!

When I am craving a sweet drink, I would mix Ginger Ale to whatever is available. Rum, Bourbon or even Scotch if nothing else is available
