I’ll definitely try it if I find it. So far no Amontillados or anything with PX grapes where I live. I’ll probably grab some next time in Nashville.Amontillados and Palo Cortados are my favourites styles.
If you like amontillados, do try a Toro Albala. Montilla-Moriles being further inland grow Pedro Ximenes grapes which have a fuller palate than Palomino which feature in Jerez and Sanlucar.
The term “amontillado” refers to sherries becoming “like a Montilla” (in character) as they age.
