Having Makoto Single Grain 23 Year Old Japanese Whisky.
Just had a small pour of Color of the Night Oatmeal Stout at Fidens Brewery in Albany. Got three four packs of their IPAs to go. The stout was okay, but the IPAs I’ve had from them in the past are killer. No pets allowed, so Susan took Wasabi for a walk.
Earlier tonight, at East Caroga Lake, my nephew shared some Ba Ba Ba Babanana Co Coco Pi Pie Mead.
Last night I found what I think is my last bottle of the lovely Knob Creek. It almost didn't happen as once I'd removed the black wax strip the bung flatly refused to budge. I mean it just refused to move! I hate those silicone bungs with a passion.
Then I had to go hunting for my toolbox to dig out my mole grips. That sorted the bugger. Was it worth all that effort? Of course it was

It is really good. I almost didn't try it as the OZ Tyler speed aged stuff was nasty. Now, three bottles later, I am really glad I did.

Having Fidens Waiheke Double IPA, 8.4%, made with Rakau, Nelson, and Simcoe hops, this batch released August 8th.
One of the Belgian beers I think, this one has strawberry notes, I don't like it at all.
