Happy New Year!
Starting the New Year off with a wee dram of Lagavulin Natural Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Whisky, 54.1%, bottled in 2017 (one of only 7,500 bottles produced), in some miniature Glengoyne etched Glencairn glasses we got at the Glengoyne Distillery in Scotland when we took a tour and six hour Master Tasting Class when we visited in 2019 (the class was only supposed to be five hours long, but our wonderful guide, Janet, was having such a great time hanging out with us and our friend Will that she spent an extra hour with us—she turned us on to Pedro Ximenez Sherry, for which we’ll forever be grateful).

After an exchange with a moderator, because we don’t have very many drinking posts per month, it was decided that a yearly thread made the most sense going forward at the forum.
