Both pipes have a tar coating at the top of the chamber but are charred at the bottom. That suggests that as well as being too hard with the lighter that you didn't smoke the pipe in with a couple of half bowls. It's possible to break in a pipe without smoking half bowls the first few times, but not if you let it get too hot. I suggest smoking some half bowls gently to build a coating and arrest the damage being done.

The first two pictures look like spiderwebbing of the chamber walls, not cracked cake. Either way, you're incinerating the walls of the chamber and yes, you will destroy your pipes if you don't significantly modify how you smoke them.

The pipes appear to be smoked way too hot and possibly too wet. That causes spiderwebbing and if not corrected, will eventually grow into cracks and splits.

Dry your tobacco a lot more. Pack it looser. Smoke slowly, puff to light then just sip. You'll get a hell of a lot more flavor out of what you smoke if you just simmer it rather than cremate it. If the pipe goes out, just relight. Use a soft flame, like a match or a BIC, not a torch. Torhes might be OK for cigars, but they burn pipes.
Don't try to burn every last shred of tobacco. You will do further damage. Toss the dottle out. It mostly tastes like crap anyway.

Or, you can continue on the way you're doing it and destroy your pipes.

If you look at the smooth pipe, the hole to the air passage in the bottom of the chamber actually does look like it’s splitting at the top. Circled below. You can zoom in more holding, but not for screenshot. Looks like goes up and left. Some may be cake cracks - but, seems the cracks could be from temperature changes (maybe significant and quick?).

I guess my question is this: Did you get the pipes to smoke or as an investment in a collection? I think there are different schools of thought when considering this. What is your worry?

Not collecting, just smoke. My worries is that I will burn them.

I see an easy solution: ream the pipes and remove the cake. Then inspect the bare chamber and see if the briar itself is cracked or damaged. If it is not, they you're good to go—you can even rebuild the cake if that floats your boat.

Come on... sorry? Are you kidding? It's just a joke. I'm 100% adequate man ?
We have another member here from Baku, Azerbaijan. Maybe if you offered to buy him a beer or a cup of tea, he would show you how to load and light a pipe and other tips. His name here is: jvnshr
And here is a link to his profile, you can direct message him:

He's also posted photos of a local pipe shop that looks very nice, so maybe someone there could help you also. Good luck!
