What are False Artisan Pipes?

It just means it's not an artisan pipe. You could replace the word fale with "no" or "not".

The term "false artisan" gives me the impression of poor craftsmanship. Like somebody hacked up their pipe making kit or attempted to copy a Peterson and called it Erin Go Bragh.

I'd steer clear, but that's just my .02

Thank you all. Makes much more sense now. I do a lot of business with P&C but their site could certainly use some work. I hope to one day own a true artisan pipe, but unless I make it myself it’s going to be awhile. Lol

Thank you for asking! I’ve been wondering myself for years now. I could only guess factory and not an Artisan? Lol. Drove me nuts seeing it constantly on pipe store sites.

I'd feel okay about a Viking from P&C. I don't know why they'd use that terminology, or non-terminology.
