@ Tuold, I asked about this pipe on a Finnish pipe forum. I'll let you know when I receive more info. These are pipes are not commonly smoked anymore, at least I've never seen one still in duty. Just going by the photo alone, I'd say this is made somewhere around 1880-1920. Uneducated guess, is all.
One thing that came to mind is that I've seen pipes like this with a meer bowl, as well. But they often have silver floc on top of the "shank", and often caps, as well.

@ jarit, I really appreciate your efforts. Thanks a lot! Just about every estate pipe has some sort of story behind it. This one must be one of the more interesting ones.
Here's a close up of the bowl. I tried turning down the contrast to try get some detail but it's just not there. I'll have to wait until the pipe arrives.
