I know how you feel, but thats life unfortunately... I had to buy dog underpants (yes I know, what a ridiculous purchase) and the postage was twice as much as the item anyway. That's life...

All I can add to this is; try living in Canada! Shipping rates here, domestic or international are insane! $9 is not that bad from my perspective.

That is the challenge with lower cost pipes. One member recently posted a "lot" of cheaper pipes, because the individual shipping costs for a $5-$10 pipe didn't make sense. I usually charge $7 for my Ebay pipes, but I save and reuse boxes/packing material. Additionally, Ebay than charges you for the privilege of shipping the pipe, more so if you don't ship thru their system. Some folk try to recover a bit of the Ebay charges thru shipping is my guess. Just do the grand total, if it's not worth it, pass. Some pipes shipped from the UK (usually around $20) just cannot be justified.

Nine bucks shipping seems like a fair price. Just adding a tracking number to a standard post mailing is now an extra buck-fifty which was always a free service until this year!

My time is worth way more than 9 bucks, I charge 50.00 for a small pipe and I make 43.25 on every package. I love gouging on shipping just to see people call me all kinds of nasty names.
Seriously though, 9 is more than fair.
