My youngest son just got home safely from Dallas and he’s sleeping.
I’m trying to entice him with promises of pretty girls singing at a country funeral tomorrow at Warsaw and a trip afterwards to Rod Gates of Jordan who has a gun shop high on the military crest, of a hill on the outskirts of Jordan which is part of the greater metropolitan area of Cross Timbers, but he’s so sleepy I’ll leave him be, for now because Saint Patrick’s Day is his 31st birthday.
My good wife asked me from her chair what I was doing and I said reading that Pearl Harbor Book I bought yesterday down by Starbucks.
I made a pot of Yuban and here I am in my garage and three more souls, have met their fate since I last posted.
Rod Gates of Jordan and me and his daughters and all of JC’s daughters and grandsons and granddaughters might be going to be picking and a grinning after Kay’s funeral, maybe way up late.
I need to learn a song maybe Rod Gates of Jordan forgot.
Change the Lutz to Jerden and it might be a regular hit down there!
But I need to remember Gates knows every word of Country Hall of Fame and can identify each character in that hymn.
God might decide I don’t live until Kay’s funeral, you know?
