That’s the precision I requireYou definitely have to use the top of the blades against the skin with that configuration. Making skin contact with the lower blade will cut like a razor!

Why do you avoid alcohol based?Yeah. That cucumber ones is very nice too.
Lucky tiger after shave tonic is alcohol free and I believe it is either witch hazel based or contains some witch hazel. Most of the non alcohol after shaves are witch hazel based.
Very beneficial properties in witch hazel.
I bought this too. Please share your thoughts on it
I don’t avoid alcohol based aftershave. Why do you avoid alcohol based?

Whipped cream ads like Cool Whip also use shaving cream. The whipped cream didn’t stay in place under the studio lights.
You can shave with cool whip btw.Whipped cream ads like Cool Whip also use shaving cream.
Alright. So it took me longer than I thought but I found the one I have that smells like walking into a humidor. It’s “Leviathan” by Barrister and Mann. Many thanks to @bullet08 for starting this thread, and for all of the follow-on contributors for the interesting content. I’m sure no one will be surprised that on-line conversations like this one contribute to purchases. As a result of this thread and some additional research, I just bought my second ever brand of shaving soap. I’ve used TOBS Sandalwood about 25 years and was and am more than satisfied, but I never even heard of tobacco scented shaving soap. Below was today’s shave with Shannon’s Soap Balkan Blend and I will say the quality of the lather was amazing; super thick, slick and fast to build up a nice bowl full. You can see what's left in the bowl after two passes. It didn’t smell much like tobacco of any kind to me, but it has a nice enough smell.
I don’t want to steer this thread away from its initial topic, and I’d be happy to start a different thread if needed, but if any regular pipe and cigar guys here have found a shaving soap that really smells like when you walk into a cigar humidor or proper pipe shop, I’d be interested in your opinions. Thanks in advance and again, great thread topic!

Looks like they were fans of Pitch Black.Alright. So it took me longer than I thought but I found the one I have that smells like walking into a humidor. It’s “Leviathan” by Barrister and Mann.
It comes in a soap/aftershave/ and EDT spray on cologne.
I know the scent notes don’t say tobacco but when they are all mixed together it’s pretty dang close to a walk in humidor.
I am not 100% sure if it’s still made but I don’t think it was a limited run

I wore it today and got quite a few complements. The EDP bottle smells a bit less like a humidor than the aftershave bottle does. These are also a few years old. 3-4+Thanks for tracking that down @Brad H, I'll keep an eye out for it.
Aftershave or the cologne splash?I picked up a bottle of Brut today. I guess I was feeling nostalgic haha. I'll probably give it a go Friday
There is a splash cologne and a spray. Look on Amazon and you can find them. They last a bit longer than the aftershave. This is the aftershave. I don't think I've seen the cologne here in well over a decade
