If you see the brand of witch hazel with cucumber I recommend it. It’s refreshing, light and delicate.
Yeah. That cucumber ones is very nice too.
Lucky tiger after shave tonic is alcohol free and I believe it is either witch hazel based or contains some witch hazel. Most of the non alcohol after shaves are witch hazel based.
Very beneficial properties in witch hazel.

Any of you fine gents remember this beauty?
Brauva which is now discontinued for quite some time. Came in an aftershave/cologne/soap bar set. The cologne smells amazing and lasts a few hours when used after a shave.

Can’t say I have either. I will attest the Thayers brand shaving cream is worthless. I’m not sure if they still make it or not.

What’s the puck? My guess is Taylor of old bond street.

Did the flitz cause any scuffing? I’ve only used flitz on polishing up guns. But too much or too hard of scrubbing pressure and it would scuff up a gun.

Out of all those razor blades I don’t think any are made in the USA.
It’s been a bit since I checked but only 1-2 brands of razors were actually made in America.
Correct

As a delightful adjunct to your wet-shave experience, allow me to recommend a classic barber shop massager:

Worn on the back of the hand, it is used to stimulate the face above the neck, scalp, and shoulders. As with any electric massager, KEEP AWAY FROM THE CAROTID ARTERIES IN THE NECK!

I have two of the model pictured above, one for regular use, and one as a spare, and purchased them both for reasonable prices at antique malls. I like it because it's quiet and identical to the one used by my barber when I was young. Modern Oster models are also available.

I actually went to a mug and brush shop that would utilize one of those, it was the first time I ever seen any barber shop use one.

Yes, wet shave. Isn't all the shaving wet shave? No. Electrical shaver that still requires cord to an outlet isn't one, unless you want to end it quick. And no, it's not what your gf does before.. Never mind.

So last month or so, I changed over to double edged safety razor. Then funny thing happened. It's like pipe smoking. I can't stop buying vintage shaver.

And it takes much longer than other shavers. What with triple milled soap and brush and what not. But definitely gives better results.

Heck yeah dude! That's awesome. I ain't razor shaved in a long time. I've been rocking a beard for the last 10 years but there was a time when I appreciated a real good shave. Nothing like going to a Barber and getting the first class Shave treatment. To have your own set up with nice stuff is pretty awesome dude.

I could run a barber shop. Didn’t say I would be good at cutting hair, but could give one heck of a straight razor shave.
I went to barber school just for fun. The Milady textbook is a great resource to have.
