If you have been watching the news today you know that my town of West Liberty, Kentucky was destroyed by a tornado last night. My family and I made it through with no serious damage but many of the people I love have been hurt. Please pray for us if that is your tradition.

Thoughts and Prayers are with you. I hope you can help your community come through this event. A tornado destroyed the town next to us last year. A lot of healing, and work involved, but now things have returned to "normal".

Good to hear you're ok there Fr.Tim. Praying for comfort. Who knows, I may be up there one day helping rebuild. If so,I'll swing by so we can have a bowl !

We here in the Not So Sunny South can and do empathize with you and those who are suffering from the tornados.

Everyone here in Central Alabama was very jumpy last night.

After last April's outbreak... we all take the weather much more seriously than we used to.

Glad you made it through it ok. I'll be praying for those who weren't so lucky.

Me too.

Reminds me of the morning after hurricanes passed through. Having grown up and lived all my life on the gulf coast the days after are hard but then things become normal. Fortunately I never lost anyone...that would make all the difference.

OK. After a day of rest away from the destruction and I finally have some perspective on it all. We are safe. The death toll is minimal (which is astounding considering that 80% of the town is gone). However, I did have to leave my beloved briar children behind :crying: Don't worry babies. Daddy's coming back.

I heard they evacuated the town. Stay safe Fr.Tim. Let us know where you end up and if you need anything ! I'd be happy to send you a care package. And it doesn't have to be pipes only ;-)

Yeah, lots of terrible stories down here.
Little towns 20 mi. north of Louisville, Marysville & Henryville IN, were leveled as well. Very sad.
Thankfully we were spared here as it blew right by Lville, but unfortunately others were not.
Thoughts and prayers for all affected.

I have family there in West Liberty myself. As far as we can tell everyone made it through alive but they have no place to work now. I am terrified of storms myself, especially of the twisting kind.
