I have a recent tin of astleys 109 that says it has latakia and Turkish in it? I never smoked any of it yet but can this be true? I think they have warehouse issues. A recent tin of K&Ks aylesbury sir johns flake was actually sir johns broken virginia in the tin.

I opened up the jar again a year later, and if there’s DFK or perique in there, they must be in very small quantities. The tins I’ve bought recently have the old description on them - “Dark brown Virginia, full bodied and smooth.” Maybe K&K put the wrong reverse label on a batch. In any event, even better after a year, and I’m looking to try a tin with even more age on it

I definitly think the blend changed. look at the differnce between my 2014 tin and 2018 tin. Huge difference in components.

I just purchased some June/2019 tins and they have your label from 2014 ...description wise.

I do not detect perique or dark fired in this batch.

Yeah i dont get dark fired from the 2018 stuff. I havent popped the 2014 yet
