The pine cone is very pretty. He's also etched his logo on the glass tube. Very nice.

wonder how it smokers. I imagine it is the rare pipe that might be more fun to watch someone smoke then to actually smoke ones self.
I've never been a fan of any of his I've seen. But still really glad that someone out there is taking a playful outlook on pipe making. And I also have to admit the price point turns me off. Like novelty isn't worth that much, though usually novelty and quality don't go together, so I am being a bit silly about it.
I can’t disagree with you, although I have two of his pipes—both gifts. While I probably wouldn’t have purchased them myself, based on aesthetics, they are both outstanding smokers.
I think he's a great example of how high end goods work. They have to have something to set them apart. And they aren't like Sav or Peterson where they have a wide appeal but they can exist in basically the same space. You couldn't really tell me that one is clearly better then the other or that I wouldn't be about as happy with either. But Werner is the only person making what he makes or anything comparable.
