Very nice. You will have that for your life and maybe your son's life.
That would be spectacular to be able to pass this down to my own son someday.

I think it was a good idea to buy it now. You're young; you've got the ability work extra hard; and it's before you have a family to worry about. It'll certainly be a special pipe.

Good move with the Dunhill. I would rather save for one really special pipe than have several lesser ones. You will never regret your purchase. Take good care of it, use it and enjoy it for the rest of your life.

One day when I stop being so cheap, I'm gonna get a Dunhill dress pipe. I think those are some of the best looking pipes you can get. You will have a pipe you will always be able to reach for when you're thinking, "Hmm. How about a super nice pipe for when I wear my best suit for dinner tonight." Get a smart looking leather tobacco pouch and you're set!

congrats waz, nice pipe, no ghosting or refurbishing to deal with, personally, I'd rather buy 25 lbs. of baccy with that amount of money and smoke a 15 $ estate, but Tobacco gets smoked up and you will have that beauty of a briar for a lifetime. So I sit smokin a 13$ marxman never knowing the feel of a brand spankin new Dunhill. Ya did great, enjoy that spectacular pipe. The price of the pipe will be forgotten and the quality of the pipe will remain forever.

Waznyf:
It's a swell pipe and you're going to enjoy it just that much more because of the sweat equity you'll have put into it. In 35 years you'll pull that pipe off the rack and while you might not remember how much you paid for it I can promise you it will be your special go-to pipe because you had to work for it.
I know Cup O Joes is popular on these forums but, if you have to miss a month or two worth of payments, please tell me you won't be in default and have to pound sand.
Cortezattic nailed it, Waz,
I'd be smoking a Dunhill today if I had all the money I wasted

on cheap pipes that have become neglected for not measuring up in some way.

I lamented over the decision to buy a Dunhill but in the end I am happy that I decided to buy one. That purchase changed my outlook on pipe buying. I'd rather save up and wait for just the right high end pipe to some along now rather than fill my rack with pipes I can afford. I only want to buy pipes that I REALLY want now.
