Same here to some extent. I graduated HS in '65 and I loved my mother dearly. However, thanks to Uncle Sam in '66 & '67, and for a few years after, she had absolutely no idea whatsoever just what an imbecilic messed up ass-wipe I was (thank God). But, I finally grew up out of that behavior about six months ago. lol
It all depends upon ones upbringing and the love ones mother (parents) gives you, and the respect and love that you should damn well return. Other than that, I'm somewhat puzzled by woodsroad's response as kendodan never asked for advice, but simply stated a small episode in his young life as it pertains to his love and respect for his mother and only asked: 'So what about you guys? Any similar stories?'
Bottom line... God Bless ya kendodan for showing us all what love and respect you have for your mother at the age of 24 and being concerned about what decisions you make in your life mean to her. Just keep going on like your doing and you'll do just fine.
