I own a nice normal pipe but, use a weed pipe to smoke pipe tobacco. I use to smoke in a steel pipe but it kept on breaking and now smoke in a glass jade pipe. Grav is the company of the pipe. Does this take away or gain anything?

You're not going to get much positive feedback on here regarding that. Water pipes/bongs were actually originally used for tobacco smoking, though. I have smoked tobacco out of a bong before - I would not try it again.
I would say that you'll probably get a pretty pure tobacco taste out of it if the pipe is clean, similarly to how clays are known for a pure taste. I'm not sure how well the tobacco would pack and burn, though. Those pipes are made for inhaling smoke, not sipping/puffing.

As long as your getting the flavour and enjoyment from the tobacco, i say have at it!

What's the bite zone thickness on that.....35mm? I couldn't imagine ever getting used to something like that.

Using a hookah or other non traditional form of pipe isn't anything new under the sun. A pipe is a pipe. If it works for you, do it.
I (rarely) use a tiny Missouri Meerschaum Mini corn cob pipe when I need a quick Nic fix, have no time for a proper smoke and don't feel desperate enough to resort to cigarettes. Aristocob don't sell this model explicitly stating they don't sell drug parafernalia. I'm not sure that MM devised their mini-pipe specifically for drug use, but I welcome the anti-drug stance of Aristocob.

One thing to avoid is smoking weed in a good briar. It'll change the flavor of your tobacco smokes forever.
Tobacco pipe smokers are a pretty traditional bunch. So there's that. We collectively smoke out of briar, corn cob, Meerschaum, maple, olive wood, beech, clay, cocobolo ( toxic to carve and sand, but ...), Mountain Laurel, among other materials. So it is not like there isn't latitude within the the tradition itself. Do it your way if you will, but try some of the other classic materials under this big wide tent of pipe smoking.
If you want to color outside the lines, and can find a Brylon pipe online, it is a synthetic material introduced in the 1960's and sold for about forty years as inexpensive pipes, a little heavy, a little hot to handle, but infinitely durable and washable in a bucket. Some people who smoke pipes in dusty gritty work places swear by it. Brylon pipes are no longer made, but there are millions out there.
