I would sleep in a mask if we can get back to "normal".

If you have multiple co-morbidities you certainly have a reason to be concerned. But for the rest of us that are healthy, not obese with no heart issues, it's keep calm and carry on.

Many of us are dying a slow economic death right now that's as real as anything medical

How long are you willing to wear a mask? I'm not trying to be rude at all, I wonder this.

They won't let you in the store without a shirt... but the mask thing only lasted 6 hours where I live, there are people with mask.. but there is certainly a large population of people without.
I don't find your question rude at all.

I have diabetes and I'm over 60 so I'll wear a mask as long as any business requests it...as long I want to shop there. I really don't see a problem with wearing a mask in a store while shopping.

If you came to my home and I requested you to take off your shoes, would you take off your shoes? I would hope so. Not much different. A business is requesting me to wear a mask, so I'll wear a mask. I don't think that's asking too much.

I'm willing to wear it as long as I feel like it. If someone doesn't want to wear one, I'm fine with it. It's personal choice. I know certain part of our government is making it mandatory, and I don't agree with it. Give the information to people and let them make the choice. It's like helmet law and seatbelt. Next you know, they will check on underwear to see everyone's wearing something that meets some regulation.

only lasted 6 hours where I live,
There in may lie the crux... My county is a hotspot for this. Our one hospital got so overrun with it that they had tents set up outside. My accountant is next door to the hospital, so driving by there scared the living shit out of me. The idea of dying out there in the grass without my family being able to say goodbye...

Not that I'm scared of getting this, or even dying... I just don't want to die that way.

My neighbor, who is about the only person who I talk politics with, was all "this is all fake." A 200+lbs construction guy, big chest, works out all the time, non-smoker, in his 40's. He got it, and came back from the hospital looking like a concertation camp survivor. We had to take him food and help him get his garden tended... scared the hell out of me. He still has a cough. I can hear him at night.

But, if you are out somewhere, where this thing isn't spreading like fire, and your hospitals aren't being flooded... then I probably wouldn't be as concerned about a mask either.

But, like I've said... I don't really give it much thought. It's just a thing. This will pass soon. I'm not making a political stance. I'm just doing what I think is best for my community, and I'm not judging anyone else. I just wasn't raised like that. Except for corn cob smokers.... ha ha. JK... sorta.... nah... maybe... ha ha.

Vegas Baby!!!
I was working a garage fire earlier today and I wore a really good respirator with the appropriate cartridges. I’m really good at not dragging fire scene crap around with me. Having said that I don’t give a shit about wearing a mask (think cloth) into an establishment that requires it. I put one do my thing and upon leaving, I take it off.

I knew we were headed for trouble when the government had to show people how to wash their hands.

Personal responsibility or lack there of, is the driving issue here. Forget caring about society, some folks are oblivious to their personal actions.
