As an obsessive Peterson nut,I have to be very careful when viewing certain on line Pipe sites.

I am very weak and seccumb easily to beautiful silverware.I spotted this 'Red' B11 Silver Spigot and just could not help myself.I am doomed.

Sandpiper...... are you my dad by any chance????
I don't own one yet, but I'd trade a dunhill to get a pipe like that. It's all about ashetics, and for me, metalwork (and more importantly silver) looks good on a pipe. And as an anally retentive ex-squaddie, it has to be polished bright.
Beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder!
Lovely pipe by the way Dad....hehehe
ps. Absolutely fantastic update of the 'Pete' section of Pipedia... welldone.

BE WEAK ! ! ! If your weakness yields pipes like that then I say be weak and keep buying them ha ha ha. If buyin' pipes I want but don't need is wrong, I don't wanna be right ! Beautiful pipe sandpiper.

This may be a silly question, but since I'm a newbie, I'll ask. How does this pipe work? Does the spigot retract and expand? For what purpose?
It is a stunning pipe to be sure. I've just always wondered what this type of pipe does to make it useful.

The silver spigots are beautiful additions to the basic Peterson System . Where a well drilled in the shank below the smoke outlet gathers all the wet nasties and keeps the smoke cool and dry.
