We’ve got it Pretty Good these Days

Reminds me of when we would go to the field for extended periods in the Army. No matter how diligent you were you would get mud/dirt everywhere. Your cot, sleeping bag, everything. My fave pipe for the field was always a Peterson X105 I kept in a one pipe pouch with Dunhill Standard Mixture. Kept me going many a shift on watch in the fighting position.

I guess what Im saying is that the "Good ole days" were only good for some people during some periods of time. For others it sucked out loud. Its all a matter of who you are/were at the time as well as location.

My only issue with the "Good ole days" is some people get in power and fight to return to those time making the assumption that it was good for everyone. First off it wasnt, second off you cant turn back time. It has always taken more courage to move forward than to look backwards.
