That's a beauty. Cook is one of a handful of carvers with the skill to carve a great wax drip, the others being Cannoy, Larryson and Fillenwarth, and Larryson has retired.

Holding is interesting in that your brain seems to find the hold points and by halfway through the first bowl my fingers found a comfortable position and I nearly forgot about it being different to holding a standard pipe.
Actually when fishnbanjo posted photos of several of his wax drip pipes about a year ago I asked him who made one particular pipe and it was Russ Cook. Really sad that banjo is not with us anymore, he is well remembered by us all though. I was on that other forum for more than 10 years and really valued his input.
