We were only in the 30-40% coverage range in NE Ohio but we got rained out anyhow. If anyone wants so see the eclipse in all it's glory, NASA posted a live link.

I would love to see a full solar eclipse. We had around an 80-90% eclipse here in the UK in 1999. That caused quite a fuss. People in the streets with welders masks and cardboard tinted spectacles. I hope this eclipse impressive for those that saw it.

I am a big fan of astronomy and events such as this. I am not religious but do feel a sense of spirituality at them. Just last night I had tried an adaptor I purchased to attach my phone to my 6 inch reflecting telescope. Managed to get what I thought was a decent pic of Jupiter.

I'll be in the path of totality for the April 24 eclipse, which promises to be even more spectacular. 🫰

I'll open up my property to anyone in the forums that wants to come over to observe and smoke a pipe.
