The only 2 I enjoyed, enough to cellar anyway was The Haunting and Sansepolcro of these “limited” (annual release) editions. The others were not bad just didnt care if I ever smoked them again.

I really like cigar leaf in blends but im not a fan of Warped's whole brand image or marketing style
I am not even aware of their marketing style. I think that when I ordered most of these that I just did a search for everything with cigar leaf in them and ordered ten or so of each.
Does Warped do something negative? Just curious... I don't want to be rewarding bad behavior.

Just a personal opinion, most probably wouldn't have a problem with it. I dont mind a little hipsterism but they hit almost every current narcissistic hipster cliche possible. The dude has an ®️ on his own name.

But, as others have pointed out, hipsters are the ones spending the money and keeping the pipe industry afloat. If it weren't for LOTR fans and hipsters there would only be a handful of grumpy elderly men buying the same 10 blends for decades.

No disrespect intended to our resident grumpy old men, you guys play a vital role and are much appreciated for your wealth of experience and codgerly wisdom.

Honestly we don’t have many hipsters around my neck of the woods, but I think I’ve recognized them out and about in bigger cities when I travel. I’ve never seen one smoking a pipe, but I guess they must. You’re not the first person I’ve seen mention it.

I doubt you would catch a hipster smoking a pipe unless you were going to a big party or get together. After all, what’s the point of doing something hip if there’s no one else around to notice how cool you’re being.

Kyle Gellis owner of Warped is somewhat of a hipster. But who cares his cigars are excellent! GR1988s are my go to cigars right now....love em!

Also according to Jeremy this blend is meant to showcase the Criollo cigar leaf. Not any kind of special Virginia in the blend like the special Red Virginia Flake that C&D currently has.

I’ve never had a Warped cigar. Nothing against them, but I guess I admittedly put them in the “newfangled ‘cool’ cigars I’d never smoke” category. Same with the Drew Estate Acids way back when they came out. Maybe I ought to give one a whirl. ?‍♂️

be careful, they tend to travel in packs. And they can get very agitated if they run out of starbucks or iPhone battery.

But to the topic, I just got my order of the haunting in today. I bought 5 tins. I’m totally drawn to the limited release stuff, because regretfully I inform you, I’m a hipster/millennial/hype monger/bad person.
I am newer to pipes. Been doing cigars off and on for years. Never had a warped cigar so I can’t speak to them. I have purchased many of the warped pipe tobaccos. Cloud hopper is pretty great. I fell in love with kings stride. I just got “until the end” today with my haunting order. It has a lot of similarities to the Kings stride. I did have a quick bowl of the haunting. Mine showed up very dry. I may have been off on the palate, but it seemed overly strong to me, and I like strong flavors. I’m curious to try it fresh tomorrow. It is right under 40% AA criollo cigar leaf. It definitely was more earthy and spicy than I anticipated. Something about the oily cigar leaf cavendish in kings stride is really special to me, however. This feels jumbled. But there it is. I get that it’s a Halloween blend, but to me personally, it is not the best of the bunch (based on the one bowl I’ve had) and isn’t necessarily worth the small batch designation.
