As the title says, looking for blends people would recommend for summer. I have read that quite a few people tend to smoke lighter and/or aro blends in the summer and put away the English blends. However some others seem to enjoy the English blends as the smokey aspect reminds them of BBQs and campfires. I do have a decent amount of aros, but recently tried Escudo and really enjoy it as well as Erinmore Flake. I don't really like overly sweet flavors in general but enjoy bold, savory flavors. Ex, beers I tend to drink IPAs and stouts. I also really enjoy bourbon and 98% of the time choose to enjoy it neat.

What you have read wouldn't mean that you wouldn't like an english in summer. I gravitate a bit more to cigars when it's summer, but my pipe habits don't change in general. I would suggest to smoke what you like in general.

Truth. I like to find out what others enjoy and get guidance, to a point, and then go from there. I started with cigars and have several years under my belt as far as that goes. It's interesting because I haven't heard much talk about cigar rotations for the seasons. Like pipe tobacco there are obviously different tobaccos, blends and richness/intensity. But I never thought of the seasons affecting that.

With cigars I also don't tend to smoke differently. I like stronger or milder cigars in every season or weather, just like I'm able to eat beef stew in summary or a green salad in winter. Maybe because we don't have them really, seasons.
