I thoroughly enjoy the bar. Like it’s almost perfect.

Im getting this marshmallow vibe today - almost similar to the end of the bowl on sutliffs burley delight (except I like warhorse). Does anyone else get this? Or is this what valerian root tastes like?

Sorry about posting the same pic so many times. Not sure what happened there. Yeah I’ve only tried the bar and not sure whether I want to venture into the others anyway.

what’s the gossip you have heard lately about the blend?

I only have experience with the original version of WH Bar, I agree, there’s a very full mouthfeel to it. I don’t get a marshmallow flavor, just the valerian, anise and tonquin.

I believe someone said that they had asked Russ about the possible change in the flavor and after smoking a sample of a recent tin he said he detected no difference from the earlier productions. I've only smoked from the first produced so I can't say. It is good stuff though.

I only have the first re-release of this... but, no valerian root does not taste like marshmallows, unless you keep your marshmallows in your old tennis shoes for a looooong time, then put them in your dirty underwear pile for a while. Seriously valerian root smells like rancid old teenager's shoes. Very nasty.

I never picked up on a marshmallow taste with mine. But, maybe the new release? IDK

That’s exactly how I store my marshmallows!

haha nah the more I think about it, it’s the flavour of the Tonkin and the reason I’m thinking marshmallow is that the feel of the smoke is quite unctuous.

I also find sutliff burley to be more marshmallowey as opposed to nutty/malty
