The weight in the tins is 2 ounces. The labels were made in house to get them up on the site. The final labels will have the correct weight and be embossed as well. So, those who got the few available tins have something of a collectible item.

They are not whole leaf. The bars are dense but behave like a crumble cake once sliced. Pack loose and be rewarded.

Several considerations came into play. Manufacturing capability and capacity foremost. The deeming date is the Damoclean Sword hanging over everyone.

I have just smoked the War Hose/Bar/Plug/Blug and I am totally blown away by it. It is in my opinion the best thing I have ever smoked apart from Condor Plug. It packs an incredible wallop, tastes just great and is a very different animal from the War Horse Rub Your Own. It slices like a plug but rubs out easily, requires only two lights to get it going and burns effortlessly to the bottom of the bowl. I think its a game changer and probably is the high water mark of Russ's tobacco reverse engineering. I will be loading up on this stuff I can assure you. Now onto testing the War Horse Green!

Damn, I just noticed that the labels were put on sideways. These 10 tins are rare indeed, right up there with the inverted Jenny stamp!

I sat down with Dan on Thursday and John on Friday to smoke both blends. I'm the kind of guy who won't give a second thought to smoking a strong cigar before breakfast, so I'm no nicotine lightweight, but my observation on both plugs is that they are extremely satisfying in that category, but the top notes keep the tobaccos from being harsh. I'm very pleased with the way they both turned out.

These are absolutely unique blends. Rich and strong without bite, they carry forward the War Horse flavor profile, but with the volume turned up to 11. Way to go, Russ!
