Clove sounds pretty bad. I haven't smoked a non filtered Camel since maybe early 90's and don't remember clove. You might try your hand at home blending to replicate what you remember.Yes, and specifically Turkish. But today's Camel Original non filters are adulterated with clove. An abomination! I must soon return to only pipe and good cigars. :-/ BTW, that looks like a Doberman in your pic
I would like to home blend, but I would not know where to begin. Any suggestions? Please? RJ Reynolds says their blend was proprietary. One would think they wound have taken some of the 1960s 1970s blends and vaulted them somewhere, for the sake of the future.Clove sounds pretty bad. Hi, Paul! Yes, it's beautiful here now with abundant sunshine. But you would not have wanted to be here this past summer. It was brutal. Phoenix had a standing record of 18 consecutive daytime highs at or above 110F (43.3c) set way back in 1977. This year, that record was broken with 30 days in a row. Some of those days as high as 119f (48.3c) I am about 1000 feet higher here, but it made little difference. :-/Welcome to the forums and greetings from Finland, weatherwise, just now I'd love to be somewhere in the SW AZ area.
ps If my memory serves right ,back in the days, in England they use to sell Players'' in 50 cigarette metal cans
