From researching previous threads I know they were produced in both blasted and smooth.I’m not sure these are not in my wheel house. And I thought Sven Knudsen did blasts in this shape? I not sure. Sorry hopefully someone else will have a better answer.
I've not seen anyone bring raging lunacy to the screen like Goodman did to the bowling alley scenes.
Shomer F’king Shabbos…
I believe F=Fill. They can have great grain but that F kills the value.I believe the "F" is for freehand. I was going to sell my era 1968 Larsen but loaded it up and was given a cool dry blisful somoke. Not selling now!
Not terribly worried about value (although of course I’m curious). More interested about estimates regarding who carved/designed them and when.I believe F=Fill. They can have great grain but that F kills the value.
I don’t know if he’s still alive but there was a big time Larsen pipe collector named Gary Humphries (sp?) who lived in Alaska.Probably the only one in Alaska too.
I believe the technical definition is that the carver f’d it upI believe F=Fill. They can have great grain but that F kills the value.
Good to know. I’ll see if I can find him! Did you know him from an online forum?I don’t know if he’s still alive but there was a big time Larsen pipe collector named Gary Humphries (sp?) who lived in Alaska.
As far as who carved your pipe, Tonni Nielsen and Teddy Knutsen are former Larsen carvers who I’ve seen ID Larsen pipes at shows before.
I was aquatinted with him from pipe shows. I haven’t seen or heard of him in many years.Good to know. I’ll see if I can find him! Did you know him from an online forum?
Any idea what year that catalog is from? Or a link to it? Thanks!
NVM found it.
