Thanks!I'd re-do all wired connections. Cut off the exposed wire, strip and check for corrosion in the clips. Good luck!

Fantastic! What type of music is it?I added 300+ LPs and 200+ 45s to my small collection for a great price
It sort of depends on which one. The 7000's series with rosewood, can get $1000 plus if working. Some tend to get a few hundred. Even not working it can get over $100. But, really the systems that require vacuum tubes is what sets off the collectors these days.Query: I have a Bang and Olafson combo turntable, cassette and tuner from about 50 years old sitting on a closet shelf. Might there be any real value to a collector?
Probably 95% Classic Rock with a smattering of Country and Jazz. He was a big horns guy so a lot of Blood, Sweat and Tears, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago and similar. Pretty much every Beatles album and 45 in playable, but not great condition. It complimented my collection very well.Fantastic! What type of music is it?

Yeah, I know all about Bose. I got these for a song around 1995 when my brother worked for their patent law firm in Boston. Had them in storage until I started up the TT again.Cool setup! I especially like the Revox. If you want an upgrade without spending much money sell those overrated Bose and get a pair of Magnepans. Just a friendly suggestion.
I started my Monday by spinning Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever and as I was putting the album away I heard a 2-3 second sizzle. I hope it’s not terminal!

Love these portables that offer all the speed choices. Fire up the Time Machine towards our collective vinyl destination...I kind of forgot about this thread, but am glad to see it bumped up again. I've been listening to a lot more music lately, and also thinking about my audio journey over the years. I don't even want to think about all the money I've spent on that journey. But here's where it started for me in 1966. My parents always had some kind of large furniture type of stereo, but while at Michigan State I came across a guy with this little portable stereo in his room. It looked different than anything I'd ever seen but the sound was amazing for what it was. So I had to get one, it was a KLH model 11 portable stereo that was a turntable and amplifier plus two detachable speakers, and cost $199.00 back then. This was the beginning of my journey... These pictures are ones I found online and is not my actual stereo. As the years passed, I bought two more KLH stereos that were similar but not portable. Great sound for the bucks!
