I normally don't collect paper pipe ephemera but I found this old sales brochure yesterday in an antique store and it caught my eye. In the last two years I've acquired a half dozen Savs and they're all very good to superb burners.
The first thing that made me think this was vintage advertising - aside from the feel of the paper and the design - was the absence of the Sav Estella. I have no idea when that particular line was introduced and if anybody could educate me I'd be grateful.

Images worked for me. If I did my math correctly, this is from 1971?

Sorry for the aggravation, Anglesy.
My internet crashed during the download from Photobucket to here and my upload got clobbered.

Duh....
I never paid that close attention to the opening para, Mr. Clark. I'd say you're dead on.
I'll try to upload the rest of the pix shortly.

What!! How cool is this, I matched my pipe to the last page there (9) to my sav and it is the 412 ex if I'm not mistaken. Really cool

Very cool, thanks for sharing.
edit: Ruben Ysidron, former CEO of Savinelli, USA for 40+ years, just stopped by the shop and I showed him the pics. He said the pipes were a lot cheaper back then! That would have been his 2nd or 3rd year at Savinelli.

Niiiice.
Thanks for sharing.
Now I gotta find an 012 Sport shape,

too cool.
I recently scored an old vulcanite stemmed 101 blasted billiard DeLuxe and I love it.

“Canadian Lumberman, the most desired shape of them all. Graceful bowl with exceptionally long shank.”

Their words not mine.
