The Registration mark on the stem is light(could not make it out). It was that way when I bought it. I think its from 87 years of wear/use not sanding or buffing. Even the Dunhill marking are light.

Congratulations on your new pipe. Sometimes you get an excellent deal because the seller does not truly know what they have is worth. Savor the experience. I hope you enjoy the pipe for many more years.

Ended up smoking the EMP...what a nice smoke it was. I did have to draw slowly as this Dunhill is a small, thin walled pipe, so it will get a little hot. But, once it settled in it smoked all the way down to ash. The wife enjoyed the room note.

I then thought I'd have a little Black House.....I got the not-a-fan look look from the wife, so I stopped. Oh well.

Congrats Voorhees - that's great to hear.
(my family won't tolerate Black House in the house either - and really I don't blame them. Wish I could, but the house does stink afterwards.)

nice pipe. I love the history of the old ones and I love stopping by thrift stores looking for pipes.
