Heh, it happened again! Different blend (Ashton's Rainy Day) and different pipe (a cob). Ammonia smell again, and this time I could taste it.

Maybe it's the pissant weather we've been having. 🥵
Weird! An ammonia like smell could be also be a sign of a sinus infection or a cold.

If anyone needs to dispose of horrible vinegar-y red and dark Virginias, I can send along the address of a disposal site😉

You jest but honestly some red virginias give me a terrible 'chemical burn' feeling, 20 ish years of practicing apparently have not help improve my technique with red virginias. Might be time to let go of the remaining stragglers in my cellar.
