Remember going down to the old water mill with Dad when really young and seeing the production process. The mill used to be liable for flooding so whenever the flood siren went off in Kendal we had to rush down. When the Mill closed the machinery was meant to be displayed in a museum on agreement with a local business man that bought it for development. But it was just put in storage somewhere and despite my efforts to force the agreement and discussions with local council, nothing happened. Shame really.
