Yet kids can download free porn all day, and buy weed online with their parents Google Pay app.
and have no issue with buying tobacco either. That's one of the funny things is children's are tech savvy and know how to get around things like this, it's us legal adults that are inconvenienced by these laws.
I swear it's one of those laws thats all about looking like steps are being taken despite those steps being basically meaningless. My favorite is how in PA you can only buy so many ounces of beer per visit. You can walk out the door and back in a thousand times but they can only ring up so many ounces.

Go and look up "daily dietary carbon allowance", it's where we're headed. My plain cheese on white was 11.4%, btw.
Well, remember a few years ago when Bill Gates said my cows farts were producing too much carbon?
He was, and still is pushing lab grown beef, and eating insects.
Last I knew he had over 800 million dollars invested in lab grown meat.
And remember, Bill Gates is not a scientist, and is not a doctor of anything. No engineering degrees, no degrees in nutrition, and zero fact based, peer reviewed studies that lab grown meat is better for the environment than beef cows.
He had suggested a $1000 per head tax on beef farms. Some ranches have 25,000+ head of cattle.
Years ago he pushed electric cars big time. Once it was shown that EV production is as bad as petroleum production, he moved to meat substitutes.

I wish Bill,..........would just go away.

Fractal expansion.

Once there are a sufficient number of laws for society to run smoothly, the law makers can't stop or they're out of a job.

So the body of rules, laws, and regulations just keeps on growing. And since there's a limit to the type of things that can be regulated---telling the planet Jupiter it's maximum stripe width can't exceed so-and-so miles, or that hawks can't exceed 50mph when flying, etc. aren't an option---the same set of human behavior-related activities get piled on year after year, generation after generation.

He has now come out and publicly stated that "he thinks" that the climate hysteria / destruction is not to be expected after all.

While on the surface I thought that was a good sign, I immediately began to wonder exactly what we need to worry about from him next. He is NOT concerned for the best interests of humanity..................

He is in the group who believes we need to lower the earth's population to 500,000,000 people. That would "eliminate" about 94% of the world's population. There are videos of him saying this in speeches.
Whether he has a point or not can be debated. But it seems dangerous for someone with his power and connections to say this out loud, multiple times, with no worries or shame.

ATTENTION 6079 SIG...

The expression of dissatisfaction is thoughtcrime.

You are hereby restricted to a diet of eight hundred calories of ground earthworms per day, the cessation of electrical power to your flat, and the cancellation of all financial accounts.

The Central Committee will review your behavior in ninety days, and either lift the restrictions or leave them in place indefinitely.

In the US at least, tobacco product vendors are legally obligated to verify legal age for everyone purchasing from them. Sometimes they can't verify you without you providing ID.

It's like going in a liquor store. You have to be of legal age to make a purchase even if you just buy a set of rocks glasses or whatever. If they don't check, they can potentially suffer steep legal penalties.

No point in debating with them. It won't go anywhere.

And driving licenses, and are allowed to roam in public.

They're unavoidable even if you associate with nobody.

And it only takes 1 to ruin 20 people's day and turn half of those 20 who were borderline into equally as idiotic assholes.
And THIS is why I live in the country.
We have lived on our current property for 23 years. I can say with 100% certainty, I like all of our neighbors, and our community.
I often go to cities for work things. Almost every time, within literal minutes of entering a city of over 100,000 people, I run into an idiot.
During the time in these cities, there is a constant barrage of annoying, angry, mentally ill, rude, and just plain stupid people.
These people are either attracted to cities, or cities create these people.
I also spend time in small towns and rural villages. I almost never run into a single one of these type people.
Rural towns either create good people, or good people in rural America dont tolerate the idiots.

Many of the online vendors pay a 3rd party that automatically verifies your age. It only takes a few seconds and runs smoothly.

The website I used does not. I'm happy to use a smoother system elsewhere and all will be fine at the end of the day.

I was under the impression that Cigars International/P&C do use a system like this. I've never had to send them my ID, anyway.

I get that it's annoying to get IDed for pipe wax, though.
