Just saw a story on the SP.c website about new Peterson “Junior Rusticated Series,” but I’m imagining these to end up something like a group 2. I like smaller pipes. I have a rack of all kinds of group 2-ish sized pipes and reach for something off this rack about 50% of the time, but if for some reason I’m looking for even smaller, I just go to the mini cob. It’s not often enough that I want something that small, so I haven’t looked for something “nicer” than the mini cob.
That just caught my attention as well. I'll want to see the dimensions before buying anything, but a "Junior" Prince or Squat Rhodesian looks to be right up my alley. Weird that they don't use the canted stem on the Prince, though.

Peterson has just come out with their Junior Series of small chamber light weight pipes in an assortment of shapes, all rusticated and all straight stemmed. SP has an inventory of these right now. They are moderately priced at about $78.

If you want a very low price, the Missouri Meerschaum hardwood pipes are good little smokers at about seven bucks, and they look a little like Danish modern furniture, especially in the straight versions.
