I smoke Orlich Golden Sliced and Boswells Private Stock but the pound!! In fact I always have at least 10 tins of OGS in my cellar. For a special treat, I will smoke Escudo.

I like it enough over others, I’m willing to pay it.
I hear ya, but as a cheapskate, I’ve refrained from buying it so I can stay happy in my budget.

Point is, there’s a lot of options and considerations. I support the guy that buys every McClelland he can find, regardless of cost just as much as I support the guy that buys a pound of RYO a month at his local truck stop.

Like grandpa said, “it’s a good thing everybody like different things, otherwise every guy would be trying to jump grandma”

Very true. I’m not trying to promote or hype up the directors cut so they inflate the price. It just happens to be one I enjoy more than most. There are many great VaPers out there. You may like one I don’t care for, and I may like one that many people don’t care for. That’s the beauty of it. Find what ya like and smoke it!

Vapers are my favorite as well.

You simply must try Rattray's Hal o the Wynd when you get a chance. It's probably my #1 tobacco right now.
It has a tiny bit of dark fired kentucky, but it's a very minor player. Mainly it's just delicious red Virginias and Perique.

Sutliff Match Victorian (RIP, but I’ve got a bunch😉)

….did I mention I love smokes that let you know you’ve smoked?
I continually find it hilarious that self-appointed leaders on another board that I frequent cling rather vocally to the delusion that current-production Peterson Elizabethan Match is superior to Sutliff Match Victorian, when it is so obvious that SMV blows the current EM out of the water. Some pipers, man...

I had to round-file some Peterson Elizabethan earlier this year after being accustomed to SMV, couldn’t even finish one smoke off the stuff.
If I’d have known I would’ve put a stamp on it and sent it to ’em.
Actually, I should’ve sent it to Jim for a review-that may have Ben interesting.

Some great suggestions here. I like a little dark fired with my vapers. For the price you can't beat the Rattray's Trinity: HOTW, Old Gowrie, and Brown Clunee (in order of personal preference).
Scottish Cake is also amazing.
Solani 633 for something more light and sweet.
Salty Dogs for something smooth and deep.
Escudo is the benchmark.
Peterson DLNR worth trying for a splurge.

If you like Vapers try out a Burper. Idk if anyone else calls them Burpers but Burley and Perique is my favorite type of blend other than just straight Burleys.
Do like my Bayou Morning. But, find I like Old Joe Krantz just a tad more. Tend to alternate buying them. Don't seem to buy a blend that doesn't have perique in it.
