After a few months of smoking I'd taken to vapers & haven't ventured out too far past those they're great.
It had me wondering.. why in the heck do I even like vapers? What is it about them that I do like?
Last week I picked up some my mixture 965 to give it a go to feel out an English blend.

It was alright but just didn't do the trick, though of course I'm not practiced with the blend.
Epiphany scratched the itch a bit better, it was just nice and played well in the pipe with few relights.
Then this morning I swapped back to my vaper and after lighting up I knew instantly why I liked them lol.

Recent batch of Red Flake w/ Perique C&D has been amazing so far, glad to have picked up a few tins.
Someone most recently made mention of a few European picks to try like Dunbar, and Rattray's.
Though Dunbar is a little scarce I'd like to give that a smoke sometime. Rattray's seems to have a selection.

All in all, have you all got any suggestions that might be up my alley?
PS Bulls eye flakes have been great, as well as a bit of that cabbie's mix by Samuel G.
Escudo kind of kicked my rump but the smoke was great.

Not totally against the English blends, Latikia can be very tasty.. but love what vapers have had to offer.

Old Dominion by Watch City, Hal O the Wynd (although it has a little dark fired), C&D Red Carpet (Smells like orange juice to me), C&D Bayou Morning Flake, Peterson Elizabethan mixture, and Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls. These are all ones I enjoy on a regular basis.

Many good recommendations above. I enjoyed a bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Red Virginia yesterday so it came to mind. It is a unique VA/Per with a blood red orange topping. Keep it in mind if you place an order with Wilke down the road.

VaPer? Don't even know her!

Ok, others have covered most of the bases already, but I'll add GL Pease Penny Farthing, so long as you don't mind shag cut. There are other Pease VaPers that are well regarded, but I haven't tried 'em yet, so I'll let those who have speak for them.

And if English mixtures haven't hit right yet, try one with Perique in it -- for instance, Watch City's Ahab's Comfort is a great dark, rich blend that has some of that Perique funk!

Well for one, they’re English…
I kid my friend across the pond, but spicing one’s tobak with goat pellet stoving isn’t my bag.

Smoke whatcha like, nothing says you’re a cooler guy if you like everything. Even amongst quality VaPers you may find that many highly heralded ones may do nothing for you.
Just hang onto stuff that may not tickle your fancy, because tastes (and tobaccos) may change with time.

I will second Peterson Deluxe Navy Rolls. Also not a budget smoke but its excellent every time. Very clean and tasty.

C&D’s Poplar Camp is a very nice Va/Per with a touch of black cav. I prefer it to Bayou Morning & it’s available in bulk.
CRF/P is great but it’s only available about once every 2 years so enjoy it while you can.
