I wish there were more plug variety available in US market. I love the time spent preparing the tobacco and the ability to prepare a plug into different cuts . Salty Dog's, Curly Block, Wessex Gold Brick
Kendal Plug . ❤

I made a few noodle press VA/Per pucks as well...

Sutliff Match Victorian (pressed 14 days)

Hearth & Home Anniversary Kake (pressed 14 days)

Hearth & Home Louisiana Red (pressed 12 days)

They are 67-70 grams, & 2" diameter x 1" thick (nice hard pucks which I cut with a Biltong Slicer)

(I don't want to derail this discussion; there is a thread from earlier this year re: Home Blending Noodle Press)

I like VaPer ok, but they're not at the top of my list either. I do enjoy WCC 558 though. Not a true VaPer to the purist. I've seen it described as a VePer as it's shown as a Kentucky \ Perique. This blend works better to me.
it's an excellent smoke. ?

@Country Bladesmith here is a look at the Match Victorian after five days in the press. It is every bit as hard as Salty Dogs. Ha I don't think my cheap pocket knife will cut it.View attachment 51161
Somehow I missed this post. That looks great. I’ve been using my Kydex press I built for knife sheaths to press cakes in between a set of nesting loaf pans, but they don’t nest tightly enough together in my opinion. The cakes come out less dense than I’d like. I need to come up with something else I think. Or just buy the noodle press.
